A Different Way to Show Emotion

Here is a recent video that my friend, SamTheBalloninator, has made recently for a project. The concept? Doing an action without “actually” doing it. Sound difficult? Well “TheBalloninator” was able to accomplish this with this video called “Cry”.

Lady Gaga’s “Judas” music video releases today

The long awaited “Judas” by our own Lady Gaga has finally arrived. I’m not the hugest fan of Gaga, but I have to say I really love this video. The basic plot is that Gaga is Mary Magdalene. She is with Jesus (who we can tell by the thorns on his head) but we can also see that she is drawn to Judas. The twist? Gaga, Jesus and the “disciples” are all part of a motorcycle gang in present times. It apparently costed $10 million dollars to make. I’ll let you be the judge, but as for me, I’m in love with Judas

The Art of Getting By: Comeback for Freddie Highmore?

We’ve all seen Freddie Highmore as the cute young kid in films like Finding Neverland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and August Rush. How will people see him now that he’s all grown-up? It will all depend on his new film The Art of Getting By, starring the 19-year old as a slacker in school on academic probation who starts to develop a friendship with his crush, who is Emma Roberts. Feelings are there, but will he actually take a chance, or will stand by the sidelines with his normal comment “I don’t have anything to say”. Set to be released in June 17th and the official Sundance 2011 film festival selection, will it set ablaze as a box-office hit? or will it be another New-York romance? You decide

Stop-motion: Her Morning Elegance

I am not sure how many have seen this stop-motion music video, but I find it incredibly fascinating and creative with what they did for the music video. How much thought and planning that was put into it is shown through the video and it’s just entertaining and really cool to watch. The song is called “Her Morning Elegance” by Oren Lavie. The link is below the post. Watch it, you’ll be glad you did.

Top 5 Sites

We all have our sites that we constantly visit right? Why is completely up to them, but it’s those reasons that keep them going back to these sites again and again. So for now, I will list my top 5 sites that I always visit and check

1) Youtube– Who hasn’t heard of this site? It has been out for over 5 years but has been a sensational hit in the media industry; uploading videos, watching them, commenting on others, and even befriending fellow users on the internet. Why do I use it? Youtube has become my main form of entertainment, for it allows me to watch any video I want at anytime, whether it be a music video, movie, a homemade video, or a video blog. It’s also where i can keep up with news if there is anything I hear about from others and want to know more. Youtube is both helpful and entertaining for me.

2) Facebook-Who doesn’t use this? A site that allows you to connect with family and friends even though they are far away and let’s you view others profiles before friending them is very useful for most. My reason? Same as everyone else’s; to communicate with my friends and family whenever I need to and stay close to them.

3) Zamar– This was introduced to me during high school. With this site, you can convert videos from sources like Youtube up to 100MB into a format of your choice and receive that  video as your own for free and can watch it or use it for their own projects. I used it a lot during high school and still use it now for my own video projects. Highly recommended it! Very useful.

4) Video2mp3– This site allows people to convert a video into an mp3 for free and download it into your itunes library. So If you don’t have any money for itunes songs but want it for your library, you search for it on youtube and convert it into an mp3 for you to listen to. I use it a lot and it’s very helpful if you want to increase the number of songs in your itunes library or finally get the song you’ve long waited for but don’t have the money to buy it.

5) Google– Okay it’s probably such a common site to visit, but it’s something I always use when I want research more about a certain idea or just something i heard the other day and want to know more about. It helps me find things that I want and need to know about when i don’t have notes or a book on me that have that same information that I need. It is my research site, as it is for many others I assume.

So those are my top 5 sites. Now I ask this: what are your top 5 sites that you visit? Post a comment below with your answer.
